DUE PROTECTION FOR THE CONSUMERS

Practically all of us are consumers and users of goods and services throughout aou lives. However, in some cases, concumers are themselves producers. We can be the producers of goods and services but at the same time we are also consuming those which we produce. For example, the producer of instant noodles are also the consumer of that product. Owners of hotels and departments are themselves users of those establishments.

What would happen if, for intance, a consumer buy goods which are faulty or being sold goods which are the past their due dates? What are the redress open to the consumer againts the seller and producer of such goods or services? As such, our rights as consumers as well as producers, are governed by laws ang regulations enacted by Parliament. This is to ensure that noth consumers and producers are aware that their activities are regulated by the government so as to avoid unfair advantage of one over the other.
