The following are some of the calls received and the action taken to redress the problems brought up. DBKU replied: The storage was on a temporary basis and garbage has been covered with earth. 3 days  22 hours DBKU  K101  After the roadworks has been completed at Kota Padawan, the excavated parts of the road were merely covered with earth but not tar-sealed. The contract work is still in progress. Apology for any inconvenience caused.  2 days  3 hours Majlis Perbandaran Padawan   K106 Erosion has taken place near a bridge at Jalan Stutong, Kuching.  Repair the road has been completed.  69 days  19 hours  MBKS  K107  More staff are needed to man the counter at National Registration Department Kuching to avoid congestion.  The congestion referred to take place during the time when some permanent staff were on leave for Chinese New Year and Hari Raya and when temporary staff have completed their contract. Even though there is shortage of staff, effort is being made to station more staff at the counters.  69 days  16 hours  Jabatan Pendaftaran  K110 There are potholes of various sizes at Miles 12, 13 and 14 Kuching/Serian Road. Repair work has been completed.  7 days  7 hours Jabatan Kerja Raya   K112 There are a lot of houseflies.  a chicken breeder in the neighbourhood has been requested to clean the area and to apply for a licence from NREB to rear chicken.  8 days  21 hours  MBKS; (NREB)  K121  Caller applied for his salary in Biro Angkasa to be deducted monthly for payment to ASB but it appears that for Nov and Dec 1997 and Jan 1998, no payment has been submitted to ASB.  Action has been completed on 11.2.98 and caller has been requested to call on ASB.  4 hours  Biro Angkasa  K152  Caller wished to know who employs workers seen laying cables at the building which houses Bank of Commerce at Khoo Hun Yeang Street Kuching.  Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TMB) replied that the workers are from Duta Jasa Sdn. Bhd, a contractor for TMB. The work is to upgrade local telecommunication network services at Khoo Hun Yeang Street.  7 days  18 hours  TMB
