  • MPA Rangkul Anugerah Kualiti Kementerian Kewangan

    Lembaga Pelabuhan Miri ( MPA) berjaya merangkul Anugerah Kecemerlangan Kualiti Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Kewangan (AKKSUKK) 2005. Majlis penganugerahannya telah berlangsung di Pusat Konvensyen Antarabangsa Putrajaya pada awal Disember 2005 dan diterima oleh Pengurus Besar MPA, Encik Shebli Hairani.

  • Kursus In-Situ Pertanian Dapat Sambutan di Nanga Merit

    Para petani sekitar Skim Pengairan dan Saliran (DID) Nanga Merit kini mempunyai maklumat lebih jelas berkenaan teknologi terkini dalam sektor pertanian di samping dasar terbaru pembangunan pertanian negeri dan negara.

  • Marudi Terkenal Kerana Kebersihan dan Keindahan Landskap

    Marudi, sebuah daerah dalam Bahagian Miri yang terletak agak jauh di pedalaman pada pandangan mereka yang belum pernah berkunjung ke daerah ini, dan mungkin ramai yang beranggapan bahawa tiada apa yang menarik tentang daerah ini. Namun satu perkara yang istimewa mengenai Marudi adalah tahap kebersihan dan keindahan daerahnya.


  • Sri Aman Tuan Rumah Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Eksekutif MAKSAK Sarawak 2005

    Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Eksekutif MAKSAK Sarawak buat pertama kalinya telah diadakan di luar Kuching dan tempat yang bertuah dipilih untuk dijadikan venue mesyuarat tersebut pada kali ini ialah Bandar Sri Aman.


  • Teknologi Baru Memungkinkan Bekalan Air Terawat di Kawasan Terpencil

    Penggunaan teknologi baru bagi merawat air yang namakan ‘Modular Incline Plate Clarifier’ akan diperluaskan ke kawasan lain di negeri ini berikutan kejayaan pelaksanaan projek berkenaan di Rumah Muna, Pengelayan di Marudi. Perkara dinyatakan oleh Menteri Pembangunan Insfrastruktur dan Perhubungan Datuk Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hassan yang juga Menteri Perancangan dan Pengurusan Sumber Kedua selepas upacara pecah tanah bangunan baru bagi Lembaga Air Kawasan Utara (LAKU) Management Sdn Bhd, Bahagian Bintulu yang bernilai RM2.7 juta di Jalan Assyakirin.

  • State Economy To Grow 5.5% in 2006

    Despite greater economic challenges faced due to increasing oil prices, tightening of monetary policies particularly in the United States,widening of global imbalances and continued geo-political tensions and security concerns across the globe, Sarawak is set to achieve a targeted growth of 5.7% for the manufacturing sector and an overall State economic growth of 5.5% in 2006. The global economy is expected to grow by 4.3% in 2006, supported by China and the United States, which are forecasted to grow by 8.2% and 3.3% respectively.

    The RM18.6 million Fire & Rescue Department complex at the Old Airport Road,Sungei Merah Sibu is now completed.It is the second fire station for Sibu town.

  • Strong Social Unity Ensures Nation’s Stability

    One of the most important components of a nation ’strength is its ’ social unity.Without a strong social unity,it is impossible to develop a stable country. Stressing this at the “Malam Perpaduan,Kebudayaan,Kesenian dan Warisan ” in Marudi late September this year,the Minister of Social Development and Urbanization,Datuk William Mawan Ikom,said local community should learn from the Baram regatta,the history behind the boat race.

  • RM125 Million For Sports, Says Cabinet Committe

    A fund of RM125 million has been allocated by the Cabinet Committee on Sports for grassroots development programmes, which would include enjoyable fitness sessions held at Rakan Muda centres under certified fitness instructors to the cool Tour de NFC 2005 (National Fitness Council Carnival).

  • Kenalpasti Punca GDW Tidak Aktif

    Punca yang menyebabkan Gerakan Daya Wawasan (GDW) kurang aktif di negeri ini perlu dikenalpasti bagi meningkatkan semula peranan GDW tersebut agar yang berupaya memberi manfaat kepada penduduk luar bandar, kata Timbalan Menteri di Kementerian Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah, Datuk Dr Tiki Lafe.

  • “Jom Kayuh” Pendekatan Baru Sampai Mesej Kesihatan

    Program “Jom Kayuh” yang julung kali diperkenalkan tahun ini adalah pendekatan terbaru kerajaan dalam meningkatkan kesedaran terhadap gaya hidup sihat di kalangan rakyat, kata Dr Kamaruddin Bin Lajim, Pegawai Kesihatan Bahagian Samarahan .
