Taking care of
the community’s welfare is no easy task - a challenge well understood by
Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Negeri Sarawak (Sarawak Social
Welfare Department). Social work is not just about issuing out grants, financial
assistance and other assistance to its target groups, i.e. the needy, the old,
the sick, the handicapped, the poor and destitute, etc. Social work requires
professionalism – work that is defined as a professional activity to assist
an individual, group or community to increase or improve their ability to fulfill
their social needs and at the same time create a conducive environment to enable
them to meet these needs.
Lubok Antu yang terkenal dengan Empangan Batang Ai merupakan
salah satu daripada daerah yang terletak di dalam Bahagian Sri Aman. Kecantikan
