One of the most effective ways of reaching out to your clients or customers is via the World Wide Web or what is now known interchangeably as the Website or the Internet.

In an increasingly globalised and borderless world we live in today, the website will be the tool that will deliver instant results and graphic messages to anyone anywhere who tap in to their computers.

At the recent Sarawak Government Agencies Website Designing competition, Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. George Chan called on all agencies to develop quality websites to establish effective communication with potential business investors as well as tourists from the world over.

“As a nation and a state within a nation,” he said, “we are competing against other countries and states to attract much-needed investments and to do that we have to look beyond our shores. The internet is an important strategic tool that we ought to utilise in these efforts.”

Internet, Multimedia, CD-ROM, electronic communication – if you like it or not, you are more and more forced to deal with these topics, if you are responsible for the marketing of your region. E-marketing, or electronic-marketing will perfectly extend your possibilities to promote your region – if you use it efficiently. Use the Internet to attract and retain a community of current and future potential investors, existing companies in the region and all foreign companies interested in business contacts to the region. The Internet should play the role of a “Business Gateway“ to your region.

Using the CD-ROM as a multimedia storage tool for an efficient and attractive presentation of extensive information for existing and potential investors, focusing on providing the most detailed information will facilitate investment decisions.
