Tips on Change Management

Seven Techniques to Help You

1. Communicate a clear picture of the visible vector and the nature of the change involved in achieving it.

2. Help people find what is in it for them and what is positive in the visible vector for themselves, for their organization, and for their constituents.

3. Open lines of communication and build powerful coalitions of resources and people to move toward your visible vector.

4. Change at a rate consistent with the individual’s and organization’s ability to assimilate change.

5. Find the positive in the new. Use the positive energy of early adapters to lead the organizational change along your visible vector.

6. Every change activity has a price, set aside appropriate resources to support the change.

7. Make the new way not optional, make it a part of everyday life.
