    Jabatan Pertanian Bahagian Sri Aman menetapkan sekurang-kurangnya enam buah rumah panjang/kampung di Bahagian itu menyertai Program Pembangunan Keluarga anjuran mereka setiap tahun.
  • Seminar, Dialog Cegah Pencemaran Sungai Di Bintulu

    Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) Negeri Sarawak dan Kementerian Sumber Asli dan Alam Sekitar Malaysia telah menganjurkan seminar dan dialog program pencegahan pencemaran dan peningkatan kualiti air Sungai Kemena pada September lalu di Auditorium Perpustakaan BDA di Bintulu.

  • MBKS Successfully Converts to MS ISO 9001:2000

    The implementation of ISO 9000 in the civil service represents the government’s effort to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government agencies in providing quality services to its customers,” stated YB Datuk Alfred Yap Chin Loi, Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department and Assistant Minister of Urban Development, during the MS ISO 9001:2000 Certificate Presentation Ceremony recently. Council of Kuching City South (MBKS) had successfully converted its MS ISO 9002:1994 standard to the new MS ISO 9001:2000 standard for the valuation of rateable holdings and collection of assessment rates.

  • Government to Revive Government ‘Sleeping ’ RT

    Rukun Tetangga (RT) or neighbourhood watch has been in our society’s agenda ever since its inception in 1973. Originally, envisaged mainly as a security project, with its main function to provide area security surveillance, it has then grown into a huge machinery to instil not just security but also to foster a sense of peaceful living among the multi-racial residents in gazetted area by maintaining order and friendly atmosphere.

  • New Gateway and New Customs House at Sama Jaya

    In December 2004, the new gateway and new Customs House at Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone was launched and became operational with effect from 1 December. The brainchild of YAB Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister of Sarawak, the new gateway demonstrates the state government’s commitment to provide quality service and modern infrastructure facilities to the industrialists. The new gateway and new Customs House provide a new link to the Kuching International Airport (KIA) and will help to facilitate free flow of traffic and goods to and from Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone (SJFIZ).
