They started chopping
|
THERE WAS ONE a tree which grew all kinds of objects and it was very tall. Its trunk was very thick.
Once, seven brothers said, "Let us cut the tree down and we can collect all the objects growing on it." So they started to cut it down. The youngest brother said, "My brothers, you chop it down and I will prop it up, then it will fall slowly and there will not be any waste of the objects which fall on the side that hits the ground."
Now, out of these seven brothers it was the youngest who had the power, which was why he wanted to be the one to prop up the tree. Unfortunately, his brothers did not agree with him and, besides that. They did not really believe he could prop it up on his own. Alos, they did not want to be told off by him, so he decided to keep quiet after that.
They started chopping and gradually the wonderful tree began to fall to the ground. The youngest brother saw it falling and went to try to help his brothers, but they were still very angery with him. So he turned away and left them to it.
They did their best ot prop it up, but they could not do it and all the branches of the tree broke and the objects on them were scattered everywhere, and they did not know where there had gone to.
The youngest brother said, "If you allowed me to prop it up just now, its branches would not have been broken and we could have propped it up again, and it would have grown and fruited once more."
That is why there are many objects on one part of the earth. That was the side that the tree fell on, and we have only together them whenever we need them.
